I figure it would be nice for people to put up pictures of guitars they have customised themselfs beit changed the picks, electronics but especially if anyone has gone to the trouble to put a pretty nice design onto the guitar.I have planned on doing some thing like Zakk Wyldes bottlecap thing to a guitar for a while but im too scared to injure any of mine even.SO fire up some picks!!

Well, aside from changing the pickups on one of my gutiars, nothing yet. However, I do have a project guitar that I plan on modifying immensly. Unfortunatly, I haven't done anything with that yet. I will however, post pics once I begin.

Heres a strat i done up, most of it, if not all was customised at home using crappy equipment, i.e penknifes! to scrap the brand name of the headstock, put mine on it, i had to cut a hole in the bridge pickup to fit a humbucker from an old SG i had, i used 2 single coil EMG's i found in my friends house, i drew on the scratch plate, trussrod cover and ive malmsteens autograph on the headstock, oh and scalloped 12 frets usin some old files.................. It turned out great! :)

That's fairly nice Al. How do you find the scalloped fretboard? Much of a help at all? Couldn't really see that much use for them personally, but I'm curious anyway.

I just modded my bass' (well, it's my brother's actually) electronics for split pickup outputs and a push/pull pot to switch the pickups into series. I didn't think to take a picture, alas. And from the outside it looks exactly the same. I put in some Seymour Duncan Hot Stacks about a year ago. And also changed the grounding to a star-wiring pattern a month or two ago to try and reduce the buzzing (it was 50% successful - tbh, I think the problem is the earth in my home).

Not big into stickers (eh... except the "Guitarists Lick Better" and "Perfection is a state of mind" I put on my Mex Strat long ago ). The bass used to have quite a few but there's only a Whipping Boy sticker left. I'm going to see if I can exert some pressure on my Bro to have it removed. :)

Yeah, I've got a split coil pull/push setup in my Virgin aswell. Used to have lots of ****ty stickers on it too, but I've since gotten rid of all of them, except an Opeth sticker, which should be there untill the day I die! :D

Some of you may know the dublin based acoustic duo called Anima ( www.animalive.com ). Well this is Cillian Fosters guitar

    Whoah, that's mad!

Anyway, there's been discussion of customizing my Virgin further. For now I want to relocate one of the strap buttons to balance it more, as it is rather neck-heavy, and since picking up an Ibanez, it's started to annoy me.

    thats one savage guitar!!

Yeah I know. The other half of the duo, anthony furey has something similar done to his guitar I think. I'll try and get a pic from him soon and put it up

This is my strat. Didn't do anything too drastic to it (i.e. didn't touch the wood). Basically, i broke a tonepot and while buying a new one online, got a little carried away. I added a new scratchplate, pickups, covers for everything, all new pots and... not much else I dont think.

I've also attached what it use to look like.

I'm sincerely gutted by the fact that no-one complimented my guitar.

(She's very self concious you know, took hours of convincing before she'd let me post pictures of her on the web :) )
