    Just lettin everyone know the cheapest place to buy these is the apple website www.apple.com i found it much cheaper than anywhere else and there is free shipping too................. :):)

    but the 20 Gig ones are €10 cheaper in the Argos catalogue, I dunno if Argos have the newer or older model though...

    Well not so much when you consider that the US price doesn't include sales tax or irish import duty..

    So starting from EUR 320, VAT is 21% (say EUR 64) and then import duty is probably near that (it's about 17 - 18 % on finished computers) so the EUR 129 looks 'near' the quoted price of EUR 449

    of course you could always fly to New York in the autumn on one of the cheap flights and get one from over there ;-)

    Or buy from a ebay seller who guarantees a refund on any duty paid. They mark them as gifts of low value so you get it in about 3 days, no vat or duty.
