    from today's Indo:
BSKYB has appointed a managing director for its Irish business for the first time. Delia Bushell, the former director of commercial affairs at Sky Networks, will head up Sky Ireland, while the company's former director, Mark Deering, has been appointed deputy managing director.

The company said the move comes following a review of its Irish business, which highlighted the growth potential of the market here.

I think their growth potential is severely limited by the lack of ITV and Channel Four, and the lack of the other Beeb channels on the EPG - hopefully Delia will realise this and try to get the issues resolved.

To be honest Tony, there was no optimism really, only a little vain hope....

it has to be said that most new housing estates around here are goign with chorus as opposed to sky. I think as bad as chorus digital is it is now more attrative compared to sky with utv channel 4 and only 27.99 a month compared to skys 30.50. and dont forget if sky were to add utv and channel four you could be talking an extra 3 to 5 euro a month ala bbc taking it to 35 euro but thats if they even get channel 4 and utv on the epg..

I think if Chorus could provide a much wider digital Cable line up they'd be taking a hell of a lot of sky customers.

I'd change if they could provide C4/ITV + a decent range of music and discovery channels. I'm not prepared to with the current crappy 60 channel line up.
