Random thought, skirts on guys?

I didn't know what forum to post this in, Mods feel free to move, unlikely necessary..

    Anyway..
While I was getting dressed this morning I tried on a skirt but I felt it was too cold to wear one. The thought came to me - aren't women's "parts" supposed to kept warm? And men's "parts" kept cool?
(I know that's why men's are the exterior of the body  )

Wouldn't it make more sense if males wore skirts???

I dare you to ask a Scotsman that question!

And with these hips, shouldn't I wear a dress more often?

I dont know, in order to make an impartial decision in this matter, I think we'll need a picture of you in as small skirt as possible. :D

Men dont need to keep them cool, since they're already outside the body.

Nicky Wire from the Manics looks really hot in a skirt! Better than he looks in trousers imo!

Anywhere hot I could get away with it (ie anywhere but Ireland) I would wear a serong. It is so cool and relaxing.

The temperature of our parts is self-regulated. :)

Overly constrictive clothing reduces the ability to self-regulate though.

I'm a Scot and i've only ever worn a kilt once. I went "commando", as is the rule, and didn't like it too much at all.

But maybe that was due to the cold weather and the shrinkage factor :)
That true scotsman thing is bull****. Y'know why? Chafing. Kilts are made of very think material, no way in hell I'd go commando in one.

On topic I've worn a kilt once for a wedding, and it's great, feels fantastic not being constricted by trousers.

I'm quite curious as to what I look like in a skirt or kilt, reasonably eager to try one out.

No way would I go commando because I'd just end up falling over and putting everything on "display".

I'd rather keep it to just halloween. ;)

I know a lot of Scotsmen and was around them in circumstance where they were wearing their kilts a lot. Some wear underwear. Most don't.

Before I get a barrage of "How do you know?"'s I'll answer. When I'm hanging out with these lads Irish girls always ask if they wear anything underneath and the lads always say to them "Well, lift it and find out" then it's lifted and lots of giggling usually ensues.

I didn't find it chafing at all, although my brother, whose wedding it was, did so there may be something in that.

As for going commando it is still the done thing although it is no big deal if you don't. But you get some amount of attention, girls love putting there hands up it!!
What in idea, next wedding i go to, im wearing a kilt :D

\edit\ None of this black tie b0llix*

I have a little black number. Some weekends I'm called Mandy. The mustache spoils the effect, though.

I find men who wear skirts quite attractive actually, but that's just me... I'm a bit of a mad one!

Random thought: God, no. Skirts are not for men.
... Not that I wouldn't look dapper in a nice little number myself of course... ;)

Would wearing a skirt, especially commando, not be painful from your balls bouncing off each other as you walked? I like support

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31,967 ✭✭✭✭Sarky

The amount of people who have suggested I try wearing a kilt is, frankly, disturbing.

The chaffing would be the worst I'd imagine. Things rubbing off other things and so forth.
