I didnt know what to call it exactly, I'm getting a whole load of prints done and I don't want to just stick them in an album, ideally I'd like to get a few frames and eh... frame them.

I presume it's possible to get pre-cut border card (more than likely the wrong term) or for a lot of prints am I better off getting the card, an angle cutter (possibly the wrong term also) and creating the borders myself?

Any advice or good suppliers of this kind of stuff would be welcome. I'm also doing several graduation shots later on in the year that I'd like to present in the same way instead of just giving the print itself. Thanks for the help.

Don't know much about this but here is a place I came across in Belfast It is possible to cut your own mounts but it takes a bit of practice. I've also thought that the bits left over were always a bit of a waste.

You can get the board in all art shops. For the mount cutter, you can get the special bevelled cutter in the art shop in Kinsgwood off the Naas Road (if you're in dublin that is). If you join a club, there's always plenty of people with them that'll loan you (and give you some vital pointers on doing it right)

It's about €70 for the cutter (cant remember if guide was included)

Continuing on this theme. Any recommendations on where/how to get photos printed. Got a few done at Bonusprint 8x10 Glossy - cheap and very glossy. Haven't tried framing them as of yet but I'd imagine they won't look the part...

Any tips on where to get photos printed for the purposes of framing as a print?

Rymus, it's a little bit out of your way, but Woodies have opened a new superstore in Carrickmines in Dublin and they sell all sorts of sizes of precut borders and frames to match...
I've never seenthem in other Woodies stores, but there might be on of those superstores in the so-called 'real' capital ?

just a small bit out of my way alright...

After seeing the prices of these pre-cut mounts, I'd rather cut my own for a fraction of the price.
