Nikon D50 shutter speed question

I know there's a 30 second shutter speed on the D50, but can anyone confirm if there's a 'bulb' setting for longer exposures?

And at which stage do hot pixels and excessive noise start to creep in? Could it go > 2 minutes at ISO200 for example?

I've got the D70s, but the D50 has it too AFAIK ... just keep turning the dial down and when it gets past 30 seconds it goes to 'bulb'. There's an option in the menu called "Long exp. NR" or long exposure noise reduction for these eventualities. Also don't forget to close off the eyepiece with the supplied cover to stop light getting in via the eyepiece.

Not sure about the exact stage at which it starts to get 'too' noisy, as I haven't tried anything like that ... yet :)
