Barretstown run

    On Monday Blessington car club did a drive of about 40 cars to Barretstown castle. This is an unusually useful thing for a car club to do - basically each car collected a couple of kids (who are recovering from cancer and other serious illnesses) and drove them around the grounds of the castle.

    Here's some pics of the cars - obviously no photos of the children.

    That's hardly an MGC in the second pic is it? Or just an MGB maybe?

    I couldn't tell you. I think it's an MGB. There were a couple of As and a midget or two.

    you can't tell from the rear. The MG 'C''s have a big bulge in the bonnet to fit that 3 litre straight six.

    Nice pics. I really like that Jensen FF, I don't know the owner but I have seen it regularly at shows and events in Ireland over the years. It's good to see people actually using their classics regularly, especially unique and rare special versions: 4 wheel drive and the first Anti-Lock Braking System in a production vehicle !!!
