I thought boys had grads and girls had debs? Did that go the same way as the old points system?

Nope, everyone has a grad and everyone has a debs.

    It is grads for guys
We don't have debs because debs is short for debutante

    Debutante
    deb·u·tante
    n.
A young woman making a formal debut into society.

Technically, debs is short for "Debutantes' Ball".

And we call them debs, even though it's an all-male school - I don't think many know the difference.

That's what I thought. Anyone caught calling it a debs in my (all male) school would've been strung up, but I guess that was a good while back.
