Laptop forum suggestion

As the popularity of the laptop forum grows, I think we are seeing an increase in repetition of threads, especially threads asking which laptop a poster should buy.

So, I'm throwing it out there for discussion on new recommendations (I hate to call them rules). For example, should we set a minimum requirement that threads asking for advice on what laptop to buy should include the following basic information:

    Price range
    Intended use
Mobility factor (i.e. will a laptop be moved around a lot or just used at home).

While I am strongly against any kind of heavy-handed moderation (Nukem and the lads are doing a sterling job), I think this will cut down on the same topics cropping up again and again.

    Comments? Opinions?

The only thing about this idea is that it will need constant updating.

@Nukem: Ok, I'll start a new thread, to keep it relevant, and you can sticky. it.
