Have you got hives?

    Hello everyone,

I am getting hives and have no clue what is causing them....

Tried cutting out milk, butter, eggs the usual culprits, but to no avail. New hives keep appearing. I am driven round the bend.

My mam, 2 friends and a work colleague are also getting hives and don't know where they are getting them from.

Has anyone else out there got hives now? What is causing them!

Hives? Do you mean urticaria? This is a swelling of the skin with redness and itch. It is caused by histamine being released in the skin due to an allergen triggering it. Going to your GP may help as they can assess if you need allergen testing if this is the cause.

Antihistamines help some people, but your doctor will decide if this is best.
