Right, since I'm the host of this meet, I thought I should start yet another thread....

Cept this one's different. If anyone needs directions, or any info, post here and I'll fill in the blanks if I can.

Also, since we have pretty much decided who's going, can we agree a format so we don't have to sit around yapping for the first half hour????

Here's my proposal. Spar a little then someone chimes in with a technique or idea in between, then spar, chime and so on.

seems as how we've got a capoerista, karate dudes etc how about a quick blast/go of what ppl do? ive never seen capoera in the flesh

Never thought of the stick!
Thought most people were into the empty hand stuff so went with that primarily. Stick sounds good Bambi, rustle some up and show us how it's done.

Probably any gear you have I'd say. Defo bring a gummer, heavy gloves if you have them, and a cup. Any leg protectors would be nice too.

There's some gear up there but a lot of it is there because someone else didn't want it

I'll happily show a little capoeira. I'm not sure how many people would like to give it a go, it's a bit counter intuitive (karate, tkd, kempo etc all move almost totally opposite to us), but anyone who's into smooth movements will be alright.

yeah we should play some games, do some gymnastics stuff. i'd bring my ps2 and tekken5 but it may be diifuclt to get a tv. i'm bringing a video camera, no sh1t, i want to record some stuff. hope u won't mind.

Video cameras are banned in my place ever since someone taped me getting changed and put it on the net... I'll never live it down. People are still calling me tripod to this day... It's hell I tells ya.

I'm looking forward to learning a bit of capoeira. I plan on becoming an irish genki sudo except without any of the talent, dancing ability, charisma, striking power, submission skills, clinch skills, acrobatics etc.
