Hi, i recently bought one of these on ebay, trouble is he didnt supply any driver CD's, and creative only gives driver updates on their website, which requires you to have an original driver already installed that i dont have. so i was wondering could someone with the driver CD copy it and post it to me, or upload it to an ftp for me to download it?

    Cheers in advance
    david

While this isn't a good answer to djmarkus' problem, could anyone confirm if drivers are supplied with OEM Audigy2 ZS's?

Also, my dad bought himself a SoundBlaster Live! "24-bit" (which deserves the quotation marks) <_< Can any drivers/discs from that be used?

    drivers come with OEM hardware.

creative will ship a driver cd to you for 2.95 (last I checked), on their online store.

If i were home right now ( unfortunetly not ) i would upload my Audigy 2 ZS Driver CD onto my FTp for you to download it... But i won't be home for 2 week'.s In the UK here for a bit. But if somehow u still havnt found a Driver by the time i get home i will upload it for you ;)

Have you tried E.mail ing Creative and asknig them what the easiest alternative is ?

I got an OEM Audigy 2 ZS from comtech.de and it was literally a carboard box with the card inside wrapped in bubblewrap. No CD.

I really really really detest the way Creative handles the software side of things. All I want it EAX support in games and stuff to tweak the surround setup, CMSS and audio levels etc.

I could care less about making my PC sound like a fúcking chipmunk or having a FullInteractiveMagicFantasticBloatedResourceHoggingGuiInterfaceToSettingsWhichAreOnlyAccessibleThroughThisGodForsakenThingXMSZSExtrEEEEME2Live!Player1024!1!!!

If you wouldn't mind, could you PM me the link aswell?
If you're on a DSL connection I can sort out some temporary hosting for the .iso on a faster connection for those that need it.

Mods/Admins: the software on the CD is essentially useless unless you own an Audigy product - I don't think any Creative software (that isn't already freely accessible from their website) will successfully install or function without a creative card being present in the system. They still get their 12 shillings and sixpence, so I don't hold the opinion that this is "inappropriate", but I'm open to correction smile.gif
