Less than a month after an Irish Shooter won the British Open DTL Championships, there was more success last weekend when Tom Allen won the British Olympic Trap Grand Prix.
You would have to look hard to see it in the press though........

Gotta push to get it in the press, sadly :( Mind you, once you get a sympathetic ear in there, it gets easier; but you still have to go off and actually do most of the work for the reporters to have the best chance at getting stuff printed!

True, but a new RTE sports programme, O.B. Sport, which caters for "minority sports" intends covering the Home Countries International Olympic Trap Tournament which is being held here the weekend after next for transmission on 2nd September. So things are looking up. But it is then up to shooters to contact the media seeking more such coverage because while organisers can promote events all they wish, unless the media sees a potential audiance or market they will not have much interest. ;)
