What openings and defences do people play?? I play e4 when white black french against e4 Kings Indian against d4 or try and turn it into a french defence

I dont have any specific defences that I play as black, just try and be careful in the opening (avoid obvious temptations !)

For white, I ususally start with a Ruy Lopez (usually exchange variation - 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Bxc6...I play this increasingly less as I like holding on to my white squared bishop and prefer closed games increasingly), Italian Game or Scotch Game, depends how adventurous I am feeling really.
