I got a poweredge a few weeks ago - I just ignored the disks and booted from my OS install disk. (by setting to bios) Use the Installtion & Server Managemen disk after OS install for drivers.

Should be a Server Assistant cd which is just for initial setup of the machine, it includes startup scripts for various OS server installs.. which generally makes things a lot quicker to install.

Personally I wouldn't bother with any of them, unless you need to run diagnostics in future, omsa is handy though .. thats probably located on the system management cd.
