Playing my first B&M tourney tonight 30fo. Anyone else going along, How have people found the tourney ( upstairs on the left ) good structure etc..

the best night to pop the cherry is the 30fo, the standard of players isn't that great ( i include myself in that ) but its good fun and there is a lot of patients for new players.

2000 starting chips
30 min blinds and 25/50 to start.

8:30 start time.

Do they allow new players to operate straight away or are they limited to merely giving diagnoses for the first few weeks?

yeah good luck i hope to be there myself. only rule is no girlfriends allowed especially if they are good looking only unattached women. i only want to be distracted if i know i have at least a chance.

well Fathead did you go last nite, how'd you get on?. good turnout with about 25 runners. 5 places paid, i came 3rd. there were a couple of people there with large heads but i was reluctant to ask them were they Fathead. last time i asked a boardie who he was he replied 'Biteme'!

remember we all met in maguires pub around corner from the fitz on a sunday before the 30 freezeout a few weeks before the would series. devore,ionapaul,bohsman,careca and a couple of others whos boards names i didnt catch were there. it was my live debut and i finished with a bubble ticket.

you werent in my vicinity then. i was on table1. heard lots of hoots and hollers from that direction. your friends runner runner might have been one of those then. ive never seen a shorter leather skirt in real life than the one the waitress with the blonde hair was wearing
