Thought i'd start a thread soley for People to post about their guitars and their favourite. Also what they would like to have in the future.

    0957500309_md.jpg

This is my newest one, The Fender Telecoustic, Sounds nice through an amp but needs the action lowered on it.

    AF75TBS.jpg

This is my Ibanez Artcore. Played excellent, takes a little while to get used to the width of it, especially standing up. Moved the strap nut from the belly of the neck to a standard position.

    schecterxxx.gif

This is my baby. The Shecter C1 XXX Limited Edition. Easily the best guitar i have and also one of the easiest to play that ive ever come across. Its just one big chunk of wood carved into a sexy beast. Ill maybe change the bridge pickup at some stage, as of now im happy with it.

    Ibanez_RG270.jpg

Ibanez RG270, decent enough little Guitar. Had the Floyd blocked off cause it was a pain, nice house guitar for just playing around with. Probably wouldnt gig with it unless i had it cleaned and rewired etc.

    pef30_02.jpg

Aria Pro II PE-F30, ive had this years and years. Its Blue not red and its an older model than the one shown here. I love this Guitar i have to admit. Its still in great nick though its about 10 Years old and been Gigged and jammed to death. Had it Rewired last year. Wouldnt part with it for the world.

As for Guitars I'd like. I wouldnt mind a PRS though i prefer Schecter myself. I maybe a top range Schecter would be nice. As for classic's , Id like an Old Telecaster and an Old Gibson SG. I like LP's but i wouldnt go out of my way for one. Wouldnt touch a Strat as they arent my thing, though a lot of people like em.

    eggle.jpg

Eggle TI Legend - the best guitar I've ever played. Have it 10 years now and nothing comes close.

    jmstrat11.jpg

    Fender Strat - classic

    s2120-1.jpg

Ibanez S2120XAV - with piezo trem, amazing guitar

    bj_c7_blk_pop.jpg

Schecter C7 - just waiting for it to be delivered.

That's it, other than the ESP 7 string I'm selling.

As for the future, a 7 string with a trem is a realistic want but other than that, I'm just at the mercy of GAS attacks :)

Gar, I like that Artcore, very nice indeed.

    Alrighty!

    Ibanez2.jpg

    Ibanez RG1527
My sweet, sweet 7 string beauty! Oh yeah.

    virgin.JPG

    BC Rich NJ Virgin
Pictured with EMGs, but it now has DiMarzios. Sweet guitar that I've had for absolutely years now, and it rocks like a mother****er. I want to get some 11's and tune it down to C.

    mockingbird.JPG

    BC Rich Bodyart "Firebreather" Mockingbird.
This is a suprisingly good guitar, plays a lot better than you'd expect. I have this baby tuned to D, so whenever I want to lash out some Death songs, I just pick this up and shred!

    As for what I want...

    nlc70s-sw.JPG

This is a Tokai Les Paul copy in white. I'd like to own one all of my own to fondle and caress, and possibly put some Seymour Duncans in.

I'll probably update this again, as there might be new stuff arriving soon. ;)

Nah, 'twas a general request to all who participate in the thread.

This is my only guitar at the moment so I'll just post a bunch of pics. It's hard to adjust to it when going from an Ibanez with 9s.

    I know, I'm just being sarcastic. ;)

NICE guitar btw. Green is a very sexy colour for guitars, especially on quilt maple. What exactly is it? Custom luthier jobbie?

It's actually a Fernandes Ravelle Ltd Ed. It's #7 of 36 in existence. It's got a duncan 59 at the neck and a custom at the bridge, gotoh hardware, grovers etc etc... Nice guitars for under a grand. It was made in Korea but it's really high quality.

As for stuff I want in the future - through the good grace of a recently dead relative I should be getting the opportunity to create a nice little rig for myself in the next year. I'm thinking of some kind of Les Paul - maybe a Gibson but more likely a Heritage, and some kind of tube amp.

Yeah, I wouldn't knock a guitar made in Korea. As long as it's good quality wood and parts, and it's put together properly, you've got yourself a good guitar. Besides, people used to believe that "Made in Japan" was synonymous with "Cheap Crap" but now everyone wants guitars made in Japan. ;)

Besides, Korea is making far better films than the rest of the world these days, so why not guitars?

BTW, what does everyone think of my little bunch of guitars?

Not sure of the BC...I have a small child in the house so i'd need a whole of these on it ;)

    P8090010.jpg

There's the first decent guitar I got. Lovely PRS Santana SE. I love it to pieces. Sounds wonderful, great tones available. It's kind of my backup guitar now cuz my Epiphone suits me better.

    P8090008.jpg

This is my secondhand Epiphone Sheraton (used to be owned by the guy from The Walls). It's my favourite guitar definitely, great for chugging away rythymwise and has a bucketful of vintage excellence.

Gets me that little closer to being Chuck Berry.

Hey bombidol i have the same aria! its so sweet and playable!
the option for humnucker/single coil is really handy... its just one sexy funky rockin machine!
Ps, how much did urs cost?

Hey bombidol where did you get your schecter and how much did it cost? Wat style of music is it best suited to? Looks class by the way

Wouldn't be my cup of tea, tbh. I've never been a fan of the whole spikey guitar thing. I've tried a few Bc Riches over the years and I didn't really like them. That being said though, I wouldn't mind a late 70's mockingbird covered in switches. That would be sweet.

Yeah, I know what you mean, you kind either love them or hate them. Of course, I love them, but if you're a fan of metal, they really are one of the best guitars out there (barring the entry level ones) for the style. Sure pick up any Death, Cannibal Corpse, or any such album, and you'll hear BC Rich right there. Awesome.

The Aria cost about 400 Pounds a few years ago. Its a lot cheaper now

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,638 ✭✭✭bombidol

I bought the Schecter in the states earlier this year. I actually got it really cheap. About 400 Dollars, God knows what it would cost over here, if it was available
