    Hey all,

I'm looking for musicians to jam with / a band to join in the Galway area. I'm in a rock band at the moment but I want to develop my skills & broaden my style a bit & it's hard to do that playing with the same people all the time. I'm 18 (& female, not that it matters in the context or anything :p ), I've been playing for about 3 yrs now & have experience of writing with said band. I can sing, not really strong enough for lead vocals but can stay in tune, I play a bit of piano & guitar too.

    Now for the influences...
As far as genre is concerned I'm keeping a very open mind, I've two bands' worth of experience with rock so that's where I'm most comfortable, but I'm going for diversity here :) I'm big on melody & not so big on attitude, ie I mean rock in the Placebo / Muse sense & not the Velvet Revolver sense.
My favourite band is Radiohead, but I'm also big into Sigur Ros, Placebo, RATM, Four Tet, John Martyn, Coldplay, KT Tunstall, Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice etc, etc. Skill-wise I can play stuff like Green Day, Muse, Supergrass & so forth.

Apologies for such a long post & congratulations if you made it this far :p
PM me if you're interested in an aul' get-together.
