Amhrán is fearr i nGaeilge

Cad is ea, a creideann tú, an t-amhrán is áille nó is fearr i nGaeilge gur chuala tú?

Níor chuala mé alán amhráin i nGaeilge, ach is fearr liom The Best is Yet to Come, an t-amhrán i Metal Gear Solid. Tá an ceol agus na liricí ana-híontach.

Níl anois ach ceol na gaoith

An bhfuil an t-amhrán seo as Gaeilge?

Freisin agus faraor, níl a lán amhráin Ghaeilge i mo shaol ach an oiread. An bhfuil aon moladh agat? Rinne mé iarracht Altan agus Kíla a fháil agus is maith liom iad. Is maith liom "Molly na gCuach Ní Chuilleanán(litriú)" le hAltan ach ní cuimhin liom aon amhrán eile, le déanta na fírinne. Seachas "Siege of Carrickfinn" ach níl aon fhocal san amhrán sin.

Is ea. Scríobh Rika Muranaka an t-amhrán, ach chas Aoife ní Fhearraigh (ó Gael-Linn) an t-amhrán.

Is brea liom é freisin, tá se go hálainn.

A chloisinn aon duine an amhran 'In Eireann Fadó'?

'Sé "Tell me why I don't like Mondays" scriofa le focail eile i nGaeilge, nach ea? "In Eirinn fadó bhí an Gaeilge beo, i ngach áit sa tír....." An ea? Tá an amhrán sin ar eolas agam ó coláiste Aráinn Mhór, Dun na nGall..... ach b'fhearr liom Tír na nÓg agus Níl na Lá!!!!

Ach an t-amhrán is fearr..... ceist deachar......

'sea, sin an ceann... scríobhadh ag mo chara an leagán sin.

Ar ábhar na hamhráine, caithfidh mé a rá sa chaoi céanna ina nglactar amhráin Béarla mar 'Wannabe' agus 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" mar amhráin iontacha (mura gcreideann tú mé, bain triail as iad a chur ar siúl ag aon gcóisir!), is é An Dreolín le Seán Monaghan ceann de na hamhráin is fearr sa theanga seo i mo thuairimse.

Anuas ar an rithim agus an fuaim meascaithe atá air, spreagann sé suim sa theanga i ndaoine óga agus i ndéagóirí - níl ort ach féachaint ag na scoláirí in aon coláiste samhraidh!

Freisin, is breá liom Cú-Cú-Ín le hIarla Ó Lionard mar gheall ar a nguth, agus an leagán Tír na nÓg déanta ag Na Firéin.

"Fado Fado in Eirinn roimh theacht an nua aois??" - sin an amhrán atá tú ag smaoineamh faoi???

Is breá liom é freisin ach .. tosaím ag smaoineamh faoí Coláiste na BhFiann nuair a chloisim í - mileann sé é

Ah, okay! I'll stop apologising. I was just afraid that I took away the attention from the main subject. I have another question. :) Why is it an 'n' before 'nGaeilge'? Is it because of the preposition ' í ' that causes eclipsis?

And Dalta, what means what you said just there? Is my name lenited?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Inspector Gadget

Having just googled "eclipsis", the answer's "yes" to that question :) (here's the link that I found)

The last line in Dalta's last post translates as "Good man Gwyllin", which I suspect is inaccurate based on what you wrote in another post... ;)

[edit]I'm reasonably sure that it's "i" - not "í" - when you're translating the word "in" into Irish, by the way, though I'm open to correction on that[/edit]

Sea, is maith é an Dreolín, agus Dúlamán freisin, má tá an DD 'Cuimhní Gaeltachta' ag éinne díobh.

Gwyllin, sorry for calling you a man, your name seems to me like a Welsh, male name. A thousand pardons. Togha mná duit <- fair play to ya.
