Reregistration - Aarrggh!

Seriously, what on earth are we supposed to do about this? I've logged onto Stuweb and I can find no information on this. I know UCDD is not known for its efficiency but surely they should inform us what to do? I was under the impression that during August, those of us heading into second year have to reregister?

Well I have gone onto Stuweb and I find the following:

'Enrolment Status' - No enrolment to date. So I head to 'Course Enrolment' and I get:

"Please note BComm Level 3, BComm Intl Level 4 and final year BBLS are the only students eligible to add courses at this time"

NO mention of when I will be allowed to add courses and little to no information full stop.

Could someone please inform me what the hell I'm supposed to do as I'm completely lost. I've received no instructions from UCD on registration and I'm finding this a real pain in the arse!

Not to be funny, but the phone number for the UCD switch is 7167777. I´m sure they can connect you to your department or admin as necessary.

I've gone down that route to get my results from the college. Surely there's a simpler way to find out the story for reregistration?

Simpler than giving them a quick ring and saying what´s the craic with reregistration? I can´t think of one offhand, but if you prefer the internet you could email info@ucd.ie and explain the situation - they´ll forward it on to the relevant people.

Don't worry MNG, they'll send you out something about it - if only because they have to send out those giros for the payment of fees. God knows thats not something they're gonna forget

I was automatically registered for next year. I guess going into final year it'd be a bit odd if they expected us to choose our subjects again... Or not!

Go to sis. Log in. Click on the button that says "Go To Programme Enrolement". Click on the term beginning in september, probably september 2005/2006, I can't remember because it automatically goes into my registration status being active... enrolement will be unconfirmed or summat as we haven't paid them yet, but you should be able to register. If not, call 7167777 or 7160000. The switch ladies can be mean, but they're not too bad.

It says my registration status is 'Active'. Is that supposed to be the case?

Well I don't know if you have to do more, but at least the active ststus of your registration would imply that they know you're due back.

You could try banging your head against your pc for a few hours...might work. However I do believe that there is a nu fangled device called the telephone which works quite well...

As Blondie said, if it has anything to do with money, be sure that fe(king UCD will be onto you pretty quick, believe me after handing over pretty much all my life savings to them last year, they don't hang about long :(

Also considering as they have forgotten who the postman is, are you really surprised....? No-one I know has yet gotten their results, or any other form of communication from UCD in good ol paper format. Wahey, sometimes I think it's not a Uni we go to but a secret agency

Speaking of which, where's Pat Soc MNG? :D

It seems their policy that only those who have done their finals will receive their results via snail mail form now on. We're just not worthy enough anymore, I guess. Bah humbug, down with students. Problem is, it's nfecting estate agents too. I've had three of the five estate agents I called today tell me that they don;t deal with students, despite the fact that we're going to be sharing with a professional couple. Charming, eh?

When I phoned UCD for my results their response was to tell me to email them! I might just send an email and see what the story is.

PatSoc is up in the air at this pint in time seeing as Pat's plan for taking control of Dublin appears to be entering Phase 1. Stay tuned is all I can say...

Hey I'm now enrolled! That was quick, eh? I have to enrol my courses from between 16th of August and 30th.

Yeah. A pity they took about 11 days longer than they implied but it's nice to get it out of the way...

Ah well, all's done and dusted and you belong to the windiest campus known to man once again!

Yep. Now I just have to figure out a way to take care of that crusty old Dean...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,016 ✭✭✭Blush_01

Which Dean? The Dean of Arts? I've never actually met the new one, but the old one was nice. Pity about the way they let him go.

LOL... Who says the Simpsons are an all-encompassing part of our social culture eh?

There's always one who slips thru the blanket coverage...

I'm dreadful with quotes. :D I have the worst memory in the world for tv/movies etc. Sorry!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

That's probably a good thing tbh.

    I have a great memory for films/tvshows/songlyrics...
But my memory for anythin else is absolutely bloody atrocious!

Picture it: I'm sittin' in an exam, strugglin' to remember what differentiates modern political parties in electoral systems that contain additional member voting capability and all that pops into my head is something along the lines of - "I am so smart, I am so smart, S M R T, d'I mean S M A R T!"

So anyway you;re probably better off saving your memory space for college tbh! :)

Only the complete freaks to be fair.

I also am stunningly good at remembering stupid quotes and terrible at remember pretty much everything else.

It's not that I don't see things, I just don't remember them. Than again, I can remember things forever. Odd.
