Sky Plus in another room

    A few questions

My main Sky box is in the living room and am subscribed to top package. If I buy a Sky+ Box off Ebay and connect it to my bedroom (I have a Quad LNB), will I get the likes of Sky Sports on it?

Does it cost anything extra per month?

Do I have to buy a card seperately?

How much should I be paying for one on Ebay including delivery?

There's one on Ebay atm for €130 (excl. delivery) with 2 hours to go. It includes a UK viewing card. Is this good value and would the card work in Ireland?

    Cheers.

You need to get a sky plus subscription, which, IIRC, is free if you recieve both the movies and the sports. Not sure weather the card will work here or not, if not, I'm sure you could get a multi room card for €15 a month.

With the uk viewing card you will only get fta channels,,Not sure if the free sky+ subscribtion applies if you buy the decoder elsewhere..

Basically, I want to connect a Coaxial cable from the Quad LNB on the satellite to a Sky Plus box. How do Sky know what I have connected to the satellite to charge anything extra? I'm not up to scratch on satellite stuff sorry. :)
