Current lead time for a Sky+ installation?

Like the post says - anyone know what the current lead time for a Sky+ installation is? I'm off on holidays in 2 weeks and would order in advance if I thought i could tape all my shows while i'm away. But if it's not gonna turn up before then there seems to be little point. Sky won't give me a lead time until I order the product. The operator told me it's a "glitch" in the system. :o

    Cheers.

Try ordering from your local installer instead of Sky direct. They should be able to tell you how long it will take.

Ordered sky+ from local reseller on the 29th Thursday July, You've to wait for the card to be posted out then let the reseller know, then they diary you in for an install date.

Hopefully will have my card today, if not, things are looking dicey for having it this weekend.

Rang sky there today, to see what the delay was seeing as its 2 weeks since i ordered, and have no card.

They're only sending it out now, as the order was placed but no card was sent out? think i may have been fobbed off.

But nowhere does it state that once you send in an order, do you have to ring in and ask them to send out the card.

Gonna ring the local retailer and see what they say.

there goes my premiership weekend :(

//edit rang the local guys, they confirmed that it sounded like BS, he's gonna chase it up, but if its only being sent out today, not much they can do. Was helpful though :)

I just got an FTA card and have my old digibox from when I moved to SKY+. What do I need to do to set up the 2nd digibox with the FTA card in another room.
Can anyone recommend someone to install this at a reasonable price - Bray area?
    Thanks

What would you consider to be a reasonable price?

    I don't really know.
I guess I am just looking for someone who won't rip me off!
Should be a fairly simple job, right? But I don't know one end of a quad lnb from the other. Also not really happy drilling holes in external walls

Its impossible to say without seeing the job but I would imagine if its pretty standard you should be looking for quotes between 75 and 130 euro if that helps. Insist on either Ct100 or H109 cable not the cheaper and nasty alternative some installers use.
