Well there goes my plan to play them for set value. I suppose you're only safe with quads. On an unsuited board, obviously.

We're getting a little bored with you always going on about how bored you are with bad beat stories. Don't read them if it bothers you so much.

What is meant by "we". If it in fact means "I", then to be honest, I don't care about your opinion.

A thread entitled "Aa V's A10" could quite easily have been one that posed a tactical problem or was enquiring for considered analysis of a hand. Karl most likely clicked on the thread expecting some such thing, it's not his fault that he had to read some drivellous whinging bad beat story.

I fully support Karl's idea. I think it's time we subdivided this forum for those that want to critically discuss poker and those who want to moan about it. I'm appealing to the moderators to at least consider this; the 1808 boards have a bad beat forum (it's mod'd by HJ!), and I think it would be a great idea here.

    Who's with me?

well if you must know, and i'd rather that this didn't have to be brought up on a public forum, my constant disapproval stems from a quite debilitating and even life threatening condition known as 'Systolic Digicardiowafflitis' where short, resisted movements with my fingers cause a sudden blood flow to my heart.

mouse clicks have basically become a game of russian roulette and to be honest, i don't even know how many i have left. if i die whilst reading a bad beat story after innocently clicking on something which seemed to be a rational discussion about the game i love so dearly, and it happens to be my last click.....sir, my blood is on your hands.

so please, don't talk to me about boredom.

Oh my god, the tragedy of it all.

    Get over yourselves lads.

I agree with Karl and Marq, but understand that as there is no subfora people are entitled to post about bad beats. Can I suggest that for the meantime if you are posting a bad beat story, you include the words bad beat in the thread title so anyone not interested can avoid it.
