Will be there - heading with 3 others.

Looking forward to it- guaranteed to be entertained.

(pity it is on so early - will barely get there for 7)

Are they actually coming on stage at 7 ??

I'd imagine thats the doors time. Then a support act. Usually the main act comes on around 9

What the Christ. Of all gigs, this is one I had figured would not sell out and I left it until today to get tickets. F*cking sold out. Can't believe it...who the hell would want to see the Presidents besides sad bastards like me? Balls.

It sold out in 2 hours, i think.

Temple Bar Music Centre is tiny.... A few hundred at the most. It would always sell out with a name like POTUSA....

    More like six weeks.

In any case it was very likely to sell out in the TBMC at only 600 people.

Concert itself was the sweatiest I've been to in ages and the crowd were well into it. Great gig.

Yup was a great gig. Much better than Weezer in my books at any rate.

I got there late, only heard last two songs. Only regret of the night.

Thanks for the badge Keith btw

I've never been that wet apart from when I go swimming. Seriously hot in there.

Fantastic gig though, they really played their socks off. I've been waiting ten years to see them and they were worth the wait. I felt like I was 12 again. In a good non-creepy way. So many great songs.

Great night - was soaked with the sweat after. Never experienced that much heat at a concert.

POTUSA were class. A huge amount of energy. Fantastic gig.

Read the ticket wrong and thought the main act was at 7!!
Oh well, got there grand and early to see a bit of GAMAK. Fairly impressed, heard the band from the bar - couldn’t get over that there was only 2 of them

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,463 ✭✭✭KTRIC

The gig was fantastic, the best I've ever been to. And to top it off we all seen a really good scrap outside with 3 bouncers trying to beat up some little guy.

    best gig ever!
SOCK IT TO ME...57 AND A HALF TIMES!!!!!!!!!!

well amazed with them. liked the way they came down and shook hands and signed stuff at the barrier at the end of the gig, then when we asked if i could take a pic he put his arm round me and posed (guitarist) well happy and well worth the 11year wait, best 20euro i ever spent!

yeah what was all that about? I just saw a few large people trying to fossilise some guys face in the TBMC wall.

But yeah, the gig was excellent. Thats what musics all about, as Jack Black would say 'the power to move you'.

I know people who probably thought, ooh theyre old and not very trendy, and then tried to get tickets at the last minute.

did they play that eternal classic...

    ...george of the jungle?

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 3,331 ✭✭✭Splinter

the guy was dicking around at the door and whatever happened the bouncer tried to get rid of him, some rando guy started claiming it was public property and he couldnt touch him and the bouncer basically pointed out that he was only gonna hold the guy til the police turned up,the guy tried to make a run but the bouncer was holding tight and then the other bouncer helped, they didnt hit the guy, only held him in place. heard a glass smash when it kicked off too but didnt c any blood or anything like that.

It helps to know who's who in the band. That's not Chris, that's Andrew.

That random guy was me. Basically they had absolutly no juristiction to hold him there. They were the security for the TBMC and once the step foot on public ground they are just "Joe Public's" and can be charged with assult like everyone else. Those guys made me sick, they give security guards a bad rep.

I don't know the new stuff at all but thought it stood up pretty well against the old stuff. Especially Zero Gravity and Some Postman.

we did our FIRST ever gigs in Ireland and the promise of crazy drunken rock and roll love was fullfilled to the greatest height of our expectations...the 2 shows in Belfast and Dublin were the hottest sweatiest slinkiest wackest gigs yet....they sang all the words and made us feel so welcome I must extend a personal thank you to all those fans that were there.....good times rock and roll on the presidents tour

    Christ Ballew's online journal

Simply a fantastic show, they would make a great festival band and i'd love to see them at oxegen next year
