Duplicated phone numbers on a Motorola V525

Over the weekend I had to get a SIM replacement to fix some problems I had been having with texts over the last while. Anyway, in copying over contacts from SIM1 to phone, and then from Phone to SIM2 I ended up with all numbers now duplicated. Very annoying when you look at your phone book and see double entries for all numbers.

I have a Motorola V525 and have looked at the manual. I want to either delete the numbers on my handset (leaving them on the SIM) or, if possible, only view the numbers that are on the SIM or on the Phone (i.e. see them only once).

I have checked the manual and asked in a shop. It seems to me that I am going to have to delete them one-by-one, an immensely boring task with over 120 numbers, as you'll imagine.

So before I start - any suggestions?
