I am at a loss for words.
Someone please come up with ANY plausable reason why this person Reraised me in this Omaha hand.

    I will set the scene.
    It is pokerstars.
It is an $11 Omaha rebuy satellite to the WCOOP Main $215 Omaha comp.
    We are 2h 30mins into a 68 runner comp.
I am chip leader and 'manv' is second in chips.
As chip leader I am raising virtually every hand pre-flop.
    We are on the BUBBLE.

    Then this happens....I am Benglian...

    PokerStars Game #2289070397: Tournament #10968350, Omaha Pot Limit - Level IX (300/600) - 2005/08/08 - 00:58:12 (ET)
Table '10968350 8' Seat #5 is the button
    Seat 2: MacGyver_eh (9037 in chips)
Seat 4: GAWarren (11280 in chips)
Seat 5: azprincess (15247 in chips)
    Seat 7: CLT_SEARCHER (23296 in chips)
Seat 8: manv (31916 in chips)
Seat 9: Benglian (41711 in chips)
    CLT_SEARCHER: posts small blind 300
    manv: posts big blind 600
    *** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Benglian [Qs 8h Qh Kh]
    Benglian: raises 1500 to 2100
    MacGyver_eh: folds
    GAWarren: folds
    azprincess: folds
    CLT_SEARCHER: folds
    manv: calls 1500
    *** FLOP *** [8c 7d Qc]
    manv: bets 2400
    Benglian: raises 9300 to 11700
    manv said, "well"
    manv said, "i have QQ......."
    Benglian said, "so call..."
    MacGyver_eh said, "as if"
manv: raises 18116 to 29816 and is all-in
    Benglian: calls 18116
    *** TURN *** [8c 7d Qc] [6d]
    *** RIVER *** [8c 7d Qc 6d] [Js]
    *** SHOW DOWN ***
manv: shows [4s 2s Ah 5d] (a straight, Four to Eight)
Benglian: shows [Qs 8h Qh Kh] (three of a kind, Queens)
    manv collected 64132 from pot
    Benglian said, "nh"
    *** SUMMARY ***
    Total pot 64132 | Rake 0
    Board [8c 7d Qc 6d Js]
Seat 2: MacGyver_eh folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 4: GAWarren folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 5: azprincess (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 7: CLT_SEARCHER (small blind) folded before Flop
Seat 8: manv (big blind) showed [4s 2s Ah 5d] and won (64132) with a straight, Four to Eight
Seat 9: Benglian showed [Qs 8h Qh Kh] and lost with three of a kind, Queens

Now I am not moaning about the bad beat. He did have 4 outs to the stupid end of a straight after all, that's by the by...

    BUT

Given the circumstances (bubble, etc.) how on earth can this guy RR me here for all his chips, on a complete bluff. In fact even if I was bluffing I would probably have had more of it than him. He is second in chips and virtually guaranteed a ticket, as am I. He didn't even need to play the hand...

Can ANYONE come up with an even semi-rational move for this play, excluding a tin-foil-hat 'he knows what's coming the site is rigged' one......?

    PLEASE....ANYONE.....?????

    Actually, for clarity.

    There were 13 players left.

    Players 1-7 got a $215 ticket
    Players 8-12 got $33.
    Player 13 got $11.

So not quite technically the bubble, but near enough.
And that's why I was raising every hand and not just sitting back...

Needless to say I didn't end up with a ticket.

I don't play omaha, so if someone could clarify forme, did you not have a house, using your QQ8 with the Q8 on the board?

I think you can only play 2 cards from your home hand.

The sentence Omaha players most like to hear at the table

"You have to use 2 from your hand" No more no less

So if you're dealt four aces in the hole, you can only use two of them?

    Yep.

I've done that in a SnG, didn't discover until I was knocked out 5th hand! That's why I never play when drunk any more :o

I played drunken omaha (1/2) last night. I sat down with approx €120 and left at 1.45 with €440. The only hand I remember is calling some fellows all in for €130 with two pair. There were possible flushs, straights and I didn't even have top two pair. I'd say there were some lovely notes written about me last night. So just in case you think 'Carlsberg don't do poker nights', they actually do .
