well if u have a credit card i would say your best bit is to buy off of www.modelsport.co.uk they are way cheaper than ireland and they will have the stuff delivered in roughly 3-4 working days.

If you live in Leixlip then try ontdoor hobbies. He is based next to the euro spar near the HP factory. His prices are as good as you will get at any LHS in Ireland. I personaly would go for a second hand truck off ebay. That way if/when you smash it up it wont seem quite as bad. I know he carries spares for CEN, bob in and have a chat with him, he will be able to advise you and also let you know what spares he carries for when you have those misshaps.
    :D

Went into a few shops and asked but nobody had a clue where it was and never heard of it.

    Does it even exsist??

PS. i was sooo desperate for some fuel that i was walken around looken for it for 2 hours

coolwings, I think you need new crayons ;)

That has to be one of the worst street maps I have ever seen :p

I actually printed the 'map' and brought it with me, and still got lost!

If you're ever asking the locals, ask for "the boat place"
Or the red-brick "Harolds Cross School", which is facing it.
Greene Marine is in the same building as Green Hobby & Model, and there are always monster boats hanging round being tested and so on, so everyone, even the non-modellers have seen the boats & remembers them.
The 83 bus (& 155 I think) stops almost outside the door.

You have a point about the crayons Slim :p
I'll see if I can get it sorted in the website.
(Sighs ... so much to do, and so little time to get out with my models .....)

EDIT: OOps ... It's the 83 and 18 bus. :) I think the 155 goes that way too, have to check that out.

Just some constructive criticism on the website.
Don't use frames! Major web design faux pas.
Otherwise a good source of info. Keep it up.

    Learn css and proper HTML!

Less subtle, to the point, you know I mean well :)

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 3,455 Mod ✭✭✭✭coolwings

Some were written direct into HTML, others with Front Page.
Depended on where I was in the learning curve at the time, and how much my other jobs were demanding my time.

Would do it different next time, if I was starting over.
But instead I'll sorta "evolve it" into what my new vision is.
Nicer graphics, better code & so on. :)
