had a look at the outlet store alright but everything there was out or budget.was intending on getting more ram elsewhere as its cheaper.do you know if theres an extra ram slot in this motherboard, or a way of finding out if there an extra ram slot?

i have an external harddrive, do you think a bigger c: drive would be needed also?

also the video use would be just importing dv from a camcorder, nothing too mental like

Well if you're just watching dvds and playing music on it it's grand. But 950 seems a bit steep. You could probably pick up a better second hand one in the buy and sell. I was looking there at one for 900 with 1gb ram and a nice graphics card. As for hard drives, you could pick up an internal hard drive at peats for around 60 quid. Or even better get a second hand one and just format it, if it's just for storage. And then you could sell your old hard drive for around 40 and technically you only spent 20 quid on quite a nice large hard drive.
