    Hi all,i am in the market for a dvd recorder with dv in.Could anyone recommend a online or shop for this?Also whats brands should i look at?

    My liteon is available in Argos for 80. Its internal and has not let me down yet. I believe it is dual layer but I haeve never tried and the speed is pretty damn good.

    if its a DVd-Recorder for TV you're after, then you won't beat www.richersounds.ie

    I got mine there after a lot of research, can't complain!

    Xtravision have a JVC with 80GB HD for 399 which isn't bad.

    Yes its the tv type i am after.Would the hard disk option be the best?

    not necessarily because they're a little more expensive. DVD-RW's are quite cheap now and some recorders such as Panasonic and Pioneer have their own time-slip feature included to work on DVD-RWs

    If you're looking to use it with DV input then I'd say a HD/DVD recorder would be best. That way you could upload everything from your camera, edit the footage to cut our any rubbish and move stuff around if you want and then burn it to DVD. I've found my one very handy for this sort of stuff.

    What make and model do you have?I primarily want it for copying my home movies from vhs to dvd as my 6600gt card though it has capture i can only see my desktop.Probably my fault!!!!
