buy a cheap second hand EOS body for under €100 and spend as much as you can on lenses

unless you are a working professional, the most basic of EOS bodies should give you everything you need

the lens you use is far far more important than the body

I used an EOS 1000FN for years and loved it

    then buy
    EF 50mm f/1.8 II
    EF 24mm f/2.8
    EF 85mm f/1.8
all for about €500, and you will have some of the sharpest best performing lenses possible

do you have any lenses already and what kind of things will you be shooting?

no lenses bar a fish eye,
    nothing worth having,
will be shooting a fairly wide variety,
alot of music things and city shots.

then i'd stick with my initial advice and all those lenses will go great with any digital body you might wish to upgrade to at some future point

have a look at the prices on:
http://www.connscameras.com/ - good shop in dublin

then compare them to prices on:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ - New York based, (add shipping, then add 8% customs duties and then add 21% VAT)
