I've been having trouble lately with both sky+ boxes.(who hasn't) Example:
Recorded "Fraiser" on Paramount last night, 3.30-4.00am.... Box was STILL
recording the same programme when i woke up this morning. 335 minutes
recording, 20% disc used  Other problems include "Searching for
listings" "Failed recording" The 2nd Sky+ box installed 3 weeks ago does not
have "Box Office Listings" on it. Now iv'e done all the usual reboot, reset,
yada yada yada. no joy. Rang sky and their sending out an engineer on
thursday. Anyone have simular probs?? Suggestions? Questions for the
    engineer?

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Sounds like either the hard drive or processor has a problem, engineer will most likely replace box.

I had a problem with the paramount channel yesterday.
The Time on paramount one is wrong. it's like 8 hours behind.
So my theory on this is that your Sky + box was on another channel that was broadcasting the correct time, so when it came to start recording fraiser it just changed over and started to record. But the problem is that when it changed over the broadcast time changed to eight hours earlier so sky + didn't know when to stop recording.

I could be wrong, but i have had this time problem with paramount all weekend.

I've had similar problems with my standard sky box over the last 2 days, searching for listings, wrong time etc. its happening a bit to much for my liking.

box is a panasonic by the way.

Tony, Is it true they only give out reconditioned boxes and not new ones?

I wonder...there was a Sky software update at 1.07am, but that was only
    today. Hmm..

    hi people

ive had sky+ for about a year now and do you know how many boxes ive gone through?

6 sky+ boxes and do you know why

its because of bog standard hard drives
i like my tv so i use it quite often and if the hard drive fails you cant even set
reminders so that also means i cant order movies or football games

its all a load of bolox

i sugest getting a tivo box. ive heard they are quite good :D

Over the past week I have also been having the same problem where the time jumps then recordings fail. Not sure if Paramount have anything to do with it bit i have only noticed it after a recording has failed from the paramount channel?

Hope it all works out for ya dude. Suppose you can always get a harddisk recorder to replace the sky+ box.
