3:50 LEICESTER Paper Talk, done well in last 5 races with Hills, bit reserved on how it will run with McEvoy as McEvoy didnt do too well on his last three races yesterday. Good for a small each way bet.

    COOL HUNTER - 3:20 LEICESTER 7/1

    Curragh 4.15 Fayr Jag
This is a really tough race and I don't even know why I am bothering with it but anyway here goes....
Came third last time out, 2.5 lenghts behind Indian Maiden, has had W Supple on board for quite some time now. Jock change to Smullen should be able to get him there or thereabouts. It won't win, but should be a nice e/w gamble. It's improving, and the jockey change adds to the reason I think it will come good today.

I'll moan, it's a Sunday ! Can you give us some history on the guy you got them off? How often have they come good?

The only reason I would go for SOLSKJAER is that the trainer has two horses in that race, and fallon is on SOLSKJAER, but it could be anybodies.

Great racing at the Curragh today...

2:15 - Race For The Stars - by all accounts, she's the tits. Some very good words being spoken about her. 5/4 could be a big price in what looks an average maiden.

2:45 - A Group 2 over 10f with good prize-money and there's only a measly 5 runners! I don't think there's much between the top 4, so I'll take a chance on the 3yo, Portsmouth. He ran disappointingly last time but hopefully something was amiss there and there'll be some improvement in him today. Extreme minimum stakes only at around 24/1.

3:15 - Dolphin Bay - did it very easily under Nina in May (hey, who wouldn't) and flew home last time for 4th place over this distance. Reopposes the winner of that race (Visit Wexford, fav today) a full stone better off. Also, has Kinane up for the first time. Good each-way bet at 6/1.

3:45 - Odds-on George Washinton and Red Clubs have already won Group 2s and Namaya looks very good, so I'll go for Amadeus Mozart to lead them all a merry dance at 64/1. (All prices taken from Betfair btw.) He's probably not good enough for G1s and is there to set a good pace for GW but O'Brien second-strings have won before! (As with Portsmouth, take this with a pinch of salt.)

    4:15 - Damson - back to 6f, first-time blinkers. At 7/1, I think she's a cracking each-way bet. NAP.

5:15 - Rumplestiltskin should turn the tables on Vague over this extra furlong. ~2/1.

Deauville, 3:15 - I expect Whipper to take this (~9/4), being too good for Abundance. NB.

This might be my onlt bet of the day. Horse was aimed at this race since last year and the trainer is doing everything in his power to make sure everything goes to plan this year, mainly by sticking a pacemaker in the race in the form of tycoon hill. Somnus is of course the big danger having beaten him in this race last year. However his form has gone a little off the boil recently and i fancy, like crumbs, whipper to do the biz.

    Curragh 4.45 Kid Creole
A super improvement from Leopardstown here last time with Ruby, came 2nd in a pack of 20 to Precipitous. Fallon onboard today, he's currently 6/1 from 8/1 and will more than likely be the favourite before the off (he's joint favourite now).

I don't like the idea of posting horses that someone who "knows their stuff" told ya but anyway....

I think Solskjaer is one we can safely cross of the list in this one. Beaten 9 lengths by Lord Admiral back in June, Lord Admiral then went on to be beaten by tropical lady...last year solskjaer beat tropical lady by a head in this race but it was more tactics that won the race that day and Manning was caught out a little...the best horse certainly did not win. Cairdeas would be a danger if he changes the tactics that lost the race to tropical lady last time. Smullen adapting front running tactics which didnt suit the horse and he was swamped close home. I expect he'll be ridden differently today and will probably take favourtism off tropical lady. It's definitely between these two.

I think Cairdeas' best form is on softer ground than today's, so when I saw that he went favourite I took 5/2 on Tropical Lady. I think she'll finish ahead of him.

What a drift on Race For The Stars in the first (and gamble on Anna Karenina).

    Paper Talk was a NR.

Tropical Lady did well to beat Cairdeas (Portsmouth nowhere).

Dolphin Bay backed into 7/2f, placed in 4th.

Damson is finished. She should make a good broodmare. Let her get in on with Johannesburg - that'd be some 2yo.

George Washington was mightily impressive. Best 2yo performance this season by a long way. My speculative selection, Amadeus Mozart, kept on to finish 2nd at 33/1. Which was nice.

Whipper was very good. Won well. Can't wait for the Prix Le Marois next Sunday, should be some race.

And finally, Rumplestiltskin did it very nicely in her G2.

3 winners and 3 places from 8 bets for me. I think that's the most bets I've had in one day in a couple of years. Anyone got the number for Gamblers Anonymous?

Backed Whipper with Tropical Lady and George Washington. Went for the forecast in the tropical lady race too. Gonna be a bet free week now until york arrives
