Dean Guitars/ Buying a new axe

Does anyone have an opinion on these?

I'm looking at buying a new guitar shortly and normally Dean wouldn't come into the equation at all (I'm an Ibanez user), but after looking at their artist roster (A poor reason to choose a guitar, I digress) I've started to look into them, I mean anything Jerry Cantrell plays has to be good.

Since I'm a lefty availability is always a problem but the guys at Dean are nice enough to provide a lefties section on the site.

So atm I'm deciding between a Dean Vendetta
or an Ibanez RG 1570 (I know it doesn't say there's a lefty model of it out yet but there is one, I assure you).
    Any advice?

I think the Ibanez is a nicer bet TBH...

Yeah, the RG has a locking trem which is something I want, I use my whammy a lot and the strat style bridge on my GRX can't cut it. Also, the Wizard neck on the RG is really nice, quite flat.

Yeah, Ibanez for me too, though start saving now for some new pickups :)

In fairness, the V7 and V8 are the nicest humbuckers Ibanez make.

Well, I liked the sound out of the things when I messed around with a lefty RG470.

That said, I like the $14 pickups that came in my M-100 that now live in my Epi strat, tuned to C with 10's

Well, I've just bought a Dean bass! But, honestly I'd say go for the Ibanez, and yeah... Save up for some decent pickups.

Go for the Ibanez but do not even think of upgrading the pickups until you've played the guitar for a couple of months.

€660 for the Ibanez, shipped with Hard case.
