Is there any software that will filter out spam mail coming into Outlook Express? Its realy annoying getting 30 emails when only 1 or 2 are actually good.

Try this. It used to be free, but you still get a trial.

Norton 'net security has one...but I've found that no matter what filters I use latelya lot of the crap is still getting through....the spammers are using certain techniques to bypass filters and make the mail look personal. Bastards. I'm not f***ing buying your sh*tty stock or your sex aids...

Online filter is prolly the way to go since it's rules are updated frequently...likely have to pay a subscrip fee though...

Join up with Spamcop, and report the spam emails. I think there's a way you can get them to log into your SMTP for you and delete spams as they hit the server, before you receive them. Also, wtf you doing using Outlook Express?

mcaffe spamkiller updates on my laptop every day, and i never get spam emails, some personal ones a while ago got blocked but that was because the isp of my mate in the US adds some sort of sideline grafic to emails.

tis effective, but sure id hope it should if im paying for it.

If you have broadband, go to Limewire or someother P2P sharing software (Bittorent etc) and download one of the cracked versions of the spam stopping software like Norton. They are the original versions and have the install code attached in a wordpad file.

    Don't worry...it's just personal preference.
A lot of people just use SMTP instead of POP3....that is they check their mails online instead of having them d/led by an email client.
Personally I prefer OE or Thunderbird, it's easier to format stuff you send and it's handy to have access to old mails/mail folders...although the spam lately means I use SMTP a lot. SMTP mailservers tend to have better spam blocking or filtering. You can also check stuff from your mobile or PDA if that's your thing...

It's Microsoft, that's all you need to know. Download Mozilla Thunderbird, open source, free, and less likely to be suseptible to sabotage.
