gmail won't send attachments

Is there something messed up with attachments in gmail? Whenever I try to send a file, I click on the attach button, choose the file, add a subject and click send. Is there something messed up with attachments in gmail?
Whenever I try to send a file, I click on the attach button, choose the file, add a subject and click send. The page refreshes for a second and then just sits there doing nothing. I've tried with a few different file types and had no luck with any of them. This happens on both Firefox and Opera (don't have IE to test it, but normally gmail works OK with FF at least).
I can send mails with no attachment no problem.
Anyone else getting this?
