I have read the sticky on Irish operator settings and wonder if it still up to date.
I have a Sagem MY V-65 which was originally a Vodafone PAYG. I got it unlocked and put a o2 sim in it. I then copied o2 settings as described in sticky. It will work for calls and SMS but not quite for MMS. If I am sent an MMS I get a text directing me to o2s website where I can view the picture, but I cant get it into my phone. If I am sent a sound file i get a similar notification sending me to the site to hear the sound, but again I cant get it into my phone. This is no good. If I send an MMS it tries for a while but after a minute or so I get told "message not sent".
I contacted o2 who say they dont support that phone - nothing they can do. Surely the phone can accept any settings put into it whether or not o2 support it. Anyone have any clues.

I use to have that phone and when i moved to meteor i had a lot of trouble trying to get the MMS/GPRS working, SMS and calls always work. I ended up going to dublin to the meteor store on grafton st and one employee took about 3 hours trying to get it to work, but before that whenever i rang meteor they kept telling me it would not work, so my advice would be to call into a big O2 shop in dublin and ask there :)
