To start does anyone know of a good place to pick up one around the munster area, if not where would i have to go?

I Was looking through the new argos catalogue and came across the following telescopes:

    Celestron Powerseeker 675 Reflector Telescope.

    €279.99

    National Geographic 76mm Newtonian Telescope.

    €199.99

Does anyone have any feedback on quality and Price on the above telescopes?

    Thanks

dont buy a telescope from argos. go online and find a telescope specialist. if you could push the boat out a little and buy a reflector rather than a refractor to maybe around €320 you wont regret it. dont worry about magnification... no point magnifying something your telescope cant pick up; it's light gathering capacity that matters.. look for something that has as large a mirror as your budget allows. i bought a 9inch newtonian reflector about 10 years ago and it still serves me well.
