where to buy ram

    is here anywhere i can buy ram for laptops in a shop, not online. Any computer shop i go to dont have a clue what im talkin about when i ask for it!!Does anyone know of any good stores. I live in the waterford area, so even if you know of shops in cork, kilkenny, tipp, or limerick i would be greatful! Thanks!!!!

    You'd be better getting it online TBH, as if you can find a shop the price will be high. Online try www.shop4memory.com an Irish based company who are quite cheap.

    PFH are the only half decent outfit in Cork. They have no showrooms or anything, and mostly deal with business, but their prices are very competitve at times - e.g. sometimes lower than komplett, but sometimes more.

    The easiest way to buy from them is send an email, and tell them to order it.

    I have bought stuff like printers from them in the past, and have always found them very professional to deal with (e.g. they give you a printer cable without asking).

    The rest of the computer shops tend to be full of greasy haired types who bulls**t their way through the day.

    www.crucial.com/eu will match your laptop to the type of ram you need

    i just got a 1gb stick for €130 from them

    elari suck... the same stick of ram is €250 there
