This is an excellent insight into how easy it is to be killed by ropey power or a dodgy amp. Scary stuff.

"Never use your body as a piece of test equipment."

    Sound advice.

    TBH, you'd be amazed.

How many gigs have you been to where you've seen a pint on an amp?

EMG - no ground connection, no risk of shock ;)

Until you touch the metal volume knob :p

That's connected to the battery ground though.

Fine, you take out the lead and touch off the jackplate :p

You can run but you can't hide ;)

Why not just smash a stage light and piss into the element in that case? :p

I remember doing a gig in the Rock Garden when whatever cretin was playing before us spilled his pint all over the stage. While we were playing I slipped in the puddle and knocked off the bass mic, sending it into the puddle in front of the amp.

"I'm not touching that!" I remember thinking to myself and nodded frantically to one of the plebs at the side of the stage to put it back :)

I get phantom shocking pains when I look at microphones.
It always seems to happen to me when I'm singing.

i get lethal shocks off microphones at gigs.. is it something to do with me playing bass while singing?... touching off metal strings?

I somehow doubt they're lethal shocks, considering you've just posted that
