    Ours stopped working recently so i brought the bulb into the shop and got a replacement, that didnt work either.

    So Im thinking fuse?? But I cant find it or anything like it, anyone got any ideas that dont involve calling the Landlord?

    Is it one with one of those long tubular bulbs? Often the fittings have a switch built in to them activated by a small pin on the cover that prevents the light coming on unless the cover is fitted, and sometimes they go wrong. Try giving the cover a good "wiggle" to see if that helps.
