Anyone know of somewhere around Dublin city centre I can get a blade sharpened. It's needs ground down a lot, not just a bit of work with a whetstone.

Hardware shops used to do this for you, but the few I tried said they don't any more.

    What type of blade.

Post it on the " Woodcraft " forum, and you will surely get a woodturner to grind it for you.

Don't know many woodturners in Dublin city centre though :)

If it's something you think you might be wanting to do more than once, it might pay you to get an el-cheapo 6" grinder from, say, McQuillans or Lenehans and do it yourself. Also comes in handy for garden shears, rotary lawnmower blades etc.
