Chorus cable / MMDS in Wicklow

    i just ordered Chorus intro and was surprised to see the installation guy installing MMDS. I live between Wicklow Town and Rathnew in a fairly populated area and would have thought that they have cable in the area... We were'nt told about this at the time of ordering the installation !! Now I have to live with an ancient black box stuck on top of the TV a nd go between two remotes for tv / text ! Does anybody know of any alternative in the area. I would get Sky only i don'y want to get a landline as i have a free company mobile ! Don't like the idea of an aerial cause i watch alot of C4 !

    I think you're stuck mate. Cable companies used to only be allowed operate in certain areas. This is no longer the case but laying cable is very expensive so one operator generally has a monopoly in the area. You could try NTL though it will still be MMDS. Other than that Sky is your only option.

    MMDS Analogue?

    I have mmds digital and I can access text with the box remote. I can also get channel 4.
