Did anyone else notice on last night's Seinfeld episode that the sound was for an episode of Sabrina the teenage witch (?).

MAybe this was a local fault (Chorus digital in Cork)....

I never switched back afterwards to see if they fixed it.

what time was it on. i watched an episode last night and the sound was fine

edit: i watched on Network 2
edit again: does Paramount and Nickelodeon (both Viacom) share the same channel on Chorus Digital? Nickelodeon were showing Sabrina The Teenage Witch at the same time as Seinfeld on Paramount. if so it is possible Chorus ****ed up. both channels shared in the analogue days on Sky

according to the Chorus website they do share on the digital service :(

You got it - it must have been Chorus who screwed it up - and I was all ready to blame paramount.
I'm sure this must happen from time to time when someone falls asleep in Chorus and forgets to "switch over"....

why a digital platorm still time shares channels is beyond me. do NTL do this does anyone know?

    No.

It is just as likely to be a fault in the transmission suite in the UK where both channels are played out from.

I Used to work for NTL In dublin when it was cablelink looking after the switching of channels from Nick to the Cablelink channel, and also at the end of sky movies 3 to a logo still, as it switched to playboy, and this problem happenend many a time! Basically there is a digital switcher which changes output to the said channel via a computer at a preset time, but audio and video can be patched differently from different sources. Sounds like this is what happened here, someone patched the vid but not the audio at same time. But it is unusual that it was not sorted immediatly as there should be someone monitoring it! OOOps

A similar thing happened recently enough in Dublin too, though in this case it was with the sound from Setanta Sports on CNBC.... irritating.
