Here,s the story i have been keeping chiclds for about 2 years and have recently found shells in the tank with something living in them there like perry winkles.Any ideas what they are.

sounds like snails. they can come in on plants or new fish. if you feed your cichlids gold fish, theres a good chance they came in as eggs or tiny,tiny babies in the water that your goldfish were in.
