You can hardly say the public has spoken when it is only the voice of some of the people who are sad enough to watch that sort of trash in the first place. It would be more accurate to say that the public have spoken by the majority of them not watching it all.

More to the point, why do people watch these stupid programmes? If you stared into your neighbour's window for a week with the intent of telling one of them to get out at the end of it, you'd be correctly considered to be a nutcase. Of course long before the week had finished you'd be arrested for being a peeping Tom.
