I find this so funny I considered posting it in the humour forum...

The Lark In The Park concert, featuring Aslan and the Hothouse Flowers, which was due to be held in Galway Utd's grounds in Terryland Park on Saturday, has been cancelled.

The decision was taken to cancel the concert as ticket sales were low and the club became concerned that it would not even "break even" on the event, according to Galway Utd's commercial manager Nick Leeson.

Aslan's Billy Mcguinness apologised to fans, saying 'These gigs were a complete shambles, we had nothing to do with organising the gigs and we had nothing to do with the ticket price which was outrageously high. We always try to keep our ticket price low wherever we play, if we had known that the gigs were going to be run so badly we would never agreed to do them. Our apologies to anyone who turned up to see us play.'

We all know who Nick Leeson is...

there was one outside Dundalk called "The Hooley In Cooley" ..... it was a complete disaster. It had, Aslan, Brian Kennedy, The Revs etc... for a ridiculoud £39.99 plus booking fee as far as I know. As expected, it was a sham and no one went. Everyone still played though but I think Aslan pulled out cos it had been badly organised.

Really, how embarassed would you be to tell your friends you spent €40 on something called the "HOOLEY" in Cooley!!!
