    HI,
Just bought a new laptop and wondering how to capture a shot from the videos I'm playing on Windows Media Player (version 9) - I've tried using Print Screen but the resolution is terrible. Also QuickTime Doesn't seem to have an option to do this either
Any freeware out there that can help me??
    Cheers folks
    L

I find BS Player is a good one. Also takes pictures very nicely.

Maybe it wasn't in Version 9 (been so long, I can't really remember, LOL) but in WMP 10, you can use Ctrl & I to take a screenshot. Try it & see in #9.

Or if that doesn't work, you can change some settings in Version 9. It shouldn't be all that different to 10 but anywho.

Go into tools -> Options ->Select the Performance Tab -> then under ''Video Acceleration'' drag the bar all the way to the left to ''No Video Acceleration''. Then click O.K.

You should now be able to use Prt Screen to take a shot of your video. You can change your settings back whenever you wish.

Try that out if you like, or as the_syco suggested you can't go wrong with BSplayer, tis a fantastic media player.
