I moved out of Ireland with work for a year or so. I have two Medical insurance policies. One in Ireland with VHI and one with a local company here (kinda travel insurance). I only keeping the VHI open for continuity when I come back and use the local company here for any issues.

    My question is this:

Will I be covered for any illness I get diagnosed for (while away) with the VHI cover (I am maintaining) when I return to Ireland?

    M
    Ps. I'm on a simple plan B.

I imagine you should be OK, but they are unlikely to cover you for holiday, vehicle & work accidents (I imagine they will cover you for "life" accidents).

    Best to check with them.
