    Hey guys,

Just wondering which one you prefer to play, have just started playing 1/2 dollar limit online and its pretty easy to make good money.

You dont have to deal with donkeys playing terrible hands and wippin you out, its far less stressfull and in my opinion and more enjoyable

Made the switch after a run of outrageous bad beats playing no limit.

Havnt read much yet in the way of books on it, but from general poker knowledge i have been able to make money consistently.

Just wondering which you play and why??

How long have you been playing limit? How much are you making? I've been meaning to give it a try.

I signed up for a limit tournament once by mistake on Party. About 300 runners and 5 people on my table all said at once "Is this not a NL tournament?", and then we all started calling everything and hitting miracle cards which really annoyed the 'proper' limit players, I was chip leader for a while then busted out when I couldn't hit runner runner hearts :(

I keep getting sucked into limit tournies on tribeca, with a few minutes to go its nowhere near its guarantee then loads of people got in, did make the final table of one though and enjoyed it, seems to be easier to outplay people over time

    lol

I've been playing a bit of shorthand 3/6 lately and i've lost money there. I keep getting called by crap hands who call down and hit on the turn or river. NL allows you to make them really pay for such things but in limit there's nothing you can do. Plus the time you do bluff they have the goods and are slowplaying them. I've played 1/2 and 2/4 before and made money but it is fairly repetitive and boring. Tournaments can be fun occasionally.

I'd consider shorthanded Limit my best game but I don't know how anyone could think limit is less stressful. It's incredibly stressful and swingy. Walko if you're making money consistently then I doubt you've put in enough hands because nobody does. Sklansy/Malmuth's "Holdem for Advanced players" is a decent book but don't read Sklansky on shorthanded limit because he hasn't a clue. Jim Brier's articles on Limit in Cardplayer are also excellent.

I read the 2+2 hi-stakes limit forum from time to time, the thinking that some of those player put into their poker is fascinating. Shows you just how much you have to learn.

    Explain

His starting hand range is too tight and you get eaten alive.
