    im looking to join a team havent played in a few years since secondary school and would like to get back into it. anyone know of any teams looking for players? south dublin preferably

    Terenure - Dublin 6 are always loking for new players. They have 8 teams, 1st XV, J1, J2, J3, J4, J5, U20 Premier and U20 A. Training doesn't satrt until end of August - Mondays and Thursday I think. More info on the site www.terenurecollegerfc.com

    Where in South Dublin are you? If you are in the D4 area, then there are about 8 clubs or so around there. If you are further out the subarbs, there is Stillorgan - and further out still, my club - Seapoint RFC

    Consider Unidare RFC!

    Fair enough we're nowhere near the South Side but it's by far the best club I've ever played for! From this year onwards, we'll be training in the DCU Sports Complex on the Ballymun Road. There's only 1 team (currently J4) in the club. The great thing about only having 1 team is that the whole club is focused on you! I played for Suttonians before joining Unidare and we were treated like sh!te cos we weren't in the 1st team or in the J1 team... Hated playing rugby because of that... Then I joined Unidare RFC and I've never enjoyed playing this much!

    And we're off to Amsterdam at the end of September for an international pre-season match too! Can't wait! :D

    Believe it or not they do! :eek: The team we're playing in September actually came to Dublin at the end of last season to play some friendlies.
    When I was first told about it I didn't actually believe we were playing a Dutch team... But sure enough it was for real!
    And we had such a laugh that we asked them if we could come down to Amsterdam for a pre-season game and they were delighted with the offer! Should be good fun! :D
